Sited in the Burrard industrial area, the proposed infill at West 4th Avenue looks to introduce high quality housing and vibrant retail spaces to the village district.

The project integrates the robustness and durability of the neighbourhood’s character in a residential typology. The massing is simple and restrained, accented by cantilevering balconies which provide large outdoor spaces for each suite. Bookended by party walls, the envelope has been designed to achieve a high level of performance while using the same cladding at all faces.

Social connections are encouraged with an open-air ground level courtyard and amenity spaces at the roof. The massing of the residential form steps back from the street to provide privacy and quiet from the busy street. omb is providing full architectural and interior design services.
