The Quesnel Power Engineering expansion project involved full-service design, including integrated architecture and interior design, graphics, and wayfinding. Designed under extremely tight Ministry of Education funding and schedule constraints the building program includes a welding workshop, computer lab, and a state-of-the-art Power Engineering teaching shop. The project extrudes the 2011 Technical Education Centre project omb designed which was always intended to seamlessly expand. Elements are clearly articulated to express their use and modulated to ensure flexibility. Material selection is intentionally industrial and appropriate to its purpose with heavy timber DLT being showcased in the computer lab. All of our projects with CNC highlight our interest and ability to explore economic solutions, while still achieving sustainable goals and a high level of design.
