The TELUS Garden project sets out to refine the workplace interiors for TELUS’s downtown Vancouver headquarters. The interiors are conceived as a forward-looking environment that reflects the company’s emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and community engagement. The project establishes a cohesive workplace framework that supports evolving modes of work while reinforcing a clear organizational identity.
Spanning nine floors, the program accommodates executive offices, corporate meeting spaces, an innovation centre, and a range of hospitality and hosting environments. Both the base building and tenant fit-out achieve LEED® Platinum certification, supported by strategies such as passive ventilation, radiant heating and cooling, and the use of locally sourced wood. The project also extends to the development of updated workplace guidelines and brand standards, establishing a consistent design approach that has been implemented across additional TELUS facilities in Vancouver and Calgary, including a broadcast studio.
Art is integrated throughout the interior, supported by a curated program that includes public art competitions and commissioned works. Close collaboration between the design team and artists informed the development of each piece, ensuring alignment between spatial design and artistic intent. This coordinated approach results in a layered workplace environment where art and architecture operate in concert, contributing to a distinctive and engaging setting.
This project was commenced by omb’s predecessor firm McFarlane Green Biggar Architecture + Design.
