omb was commissioned by the SFU Department of Mathematics to create a more responsive teaching environment with improved flexibility. In addition to teaching and learning functions, the space also includes flexible social gathering spaces that are available to students, staff and faculty alike.
The project includes four overlapping program zones which are layered across the space. Each of the zones has a different character and provides different types of seating and equipment to meet the needs of the Department of Mathematics.
