Located in Vancouver, the Lululemon Whitespace™ Workshop brings research, testing, prototyping, and education together within a flexible and highly collaborative environment. Designed to support innovation across multiple disciplines, the facility blurs the traditional boundaries between workplace, laboratory, and learning environments, creating a space where ideas can be explored, evaluated, and developed through both creative and technical processes.

The workshop accommodates a diverse range of activities, including product development, material research, prototyping, and education. Specialized facilities include a biomechanics laboratory equipped with a SwimEx testing system and an environmental chamber for evaluating product performance under controlled conditions. Additional spaces support raw material testing, colour analysis, fabrication, and collaborative exploration, all organized within a clear and adaptable framework that encourages interaction between teams while accommodating different modes of research and learning.

Adaptability is central to the design. Operable partitions, integrated technology, and multi-purpose work areas allow spaces to be reconfigured as program needs evolve. Open sightlines and shared gathering spaces promote visibility and knowledge exchange across disciplines, reinforcing a culture of experimentation and continuous learning. Together, these interventions create a dynamic environment that supports innovation, collaboration, and product development.
