As prime consultant, omb is leading the transformation of 16 acres at BCIT into a vibrant, pedestrian-first public realm that will redefine the heart of the campus. This ambitious project will not only upgrade and reorganize all critical underground infrastructure but also lay the foundation for BCIT’s long-term growth and future development sites.

At the centre of the design is the revitalization of Guichon Creek—an opportunity to daylight the waterway and create a living landscape that weaves together Indigenous knowledge, public art, and intuitive campus wayfinding. The project also integrates essential fire and maintenance access without compromising the integrity of the public space.

Designed to meet Envision Gold certification and Rick Hansen accessibility standards, the new campus core will model sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation—delivering a lasting legacy for students, faculty, and the broader community.
