The new Trades School for the College of New Caledonia involves the creative transformation of an existing building, formerly used as a Canadian Tire store. The design integrates the Trades Center as part of the established college campus and economically repurposes existing box store spaces into workshops and classrooms. Generous circulation areas are naturally day lite and locally sourced wood is used at the heart of the Center to provide a welcoming student gathering space.
